This initiative follows up the january 1oth benefit show, presented at Montreal's GESU, which allowed to gather 15 000$ for Medecins Sans Frontières.
Time has come for Caracol to start conquering Europe! She will be in France, Belgium and Switzerland next march, playing 14 shows with her acoustic band "Petit Orchestre".

Following their show at Festival d'Été de Québec, Caracol and her band won a MIROIR AWARD (Artiste d'ici – Étoiles Galaxie), a prize awarded by a jury + public to the young canadian singer-songwriter who gave the best show at the festival, based on lyrics, music and interpretation. Among the other winners, nothing less than: Sting, Karkwa, Beast, Oumou Sangare and Lila Downs.

This time, she will present the songs from her latest album "L'Arbre aux parfums" in TOTALLY acoustic versions, accompanied by the "PETIT ORCHESTRE" line-up: David Laflèche, Maxime Lepage, and Audrey-Michèle Simard.
On that very intimate night, the audience will discover Caracol's songs in subtle and sensitive versions. Vocals and acoustic instruments shall rule. Nothing plugged-in!!! Old School Acoustics, special setup and lots of emotions guaranteed.

Caracol has just won the Sodec/ Rideau EUROPEAN JURY PRIZE thanks to her showcase presented at Quebec's Capitole during the Bourse Rideau!!! Hurray and thanks!
This much-coveted prize, coming with a SODEC grant, will allow her to realize a European tour in 2010 (details to come).
For over 1000 professionals in the performing arts industry, the Bourse RIDEAU is the must-attend event of the year in Quebec. 316 international representatives and festival programmers, 312 show producers, about 20 diffusion networks, 150 observers, private and public partners and over 400 artists and cultural workers from here and abroad participated this year. The award ceremony took place on Feb. 19th at Capitole de Québec.
Caracol is among the JUNO AWARDS nominees for Francophone Album of the Year!!! The award ceremony will take place in Vancouver, March 29 2009. YEEE HAHH!
